Welcome to the Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt!
If you’ve just discovered the hunt, be sure to start at Stop #1, and collect the clues through all the stops, in order, so you can enter to win one of our top 5 grand prizes!
- The hunt BEGINS on 3/18 at noon MST with Stop #1 at LisaTawnBergren.com.
- Hunt through our loop using Chrome or Firefox as your browser (not Explorer).
- There is NO RUSH to complete the hunt—you have all weekend (until Sunday, 3/21 at midnight MST)! So take your time, reading the unique posts along the way; our hope is that you discover new authors/new books and learn new things about them.
- Submit your entry for the grand prizes by collecting the CLUE on each author’s scavenger hunt post and submitting your answer in the Rafflecopter form at the final stop, back on Lisa’s site. Many authors are offering additional prizes along the way!
Now for a warm welcome.
HI!! I’m Toni Shiloh wife, mom, and Christian contemporary romance author. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a Texas girl living a northern Virginia world with my husband and our two boys. I’m always reading a romance book (whether it’s romantic suspense, historical romance, fantasy romance, you get the idea) and love talking books. Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for all things bookish. 🙂 My newest release is with Love Inspired (my debut with them) and I’m so excited for everyone to read An Unlikely Proposal.
Their friendship can survive almost anything…
For two best friends,
marriage could be their greatest test yet…
Trinity Davis must not have heard firefighter Omar Young correctly. Did her handsome widowed best friend just suggest they get married? Omar needs a mom for his adorable little girls, and it’ll fix Trinity’s financial woes. But saying “I do” isn’t just business. Especially when the only vow they’re in danger of breaking is their promise to not fall in love…
I throughly enjoyed setting this book in fictional town of Bluebonnet, Texas. How can I not since it allowed me to mentally visit my home state and put in little bits and pieces that make Texas Texas. In fact, here are some things I consider to fall under the category “All Things Texas” that you might spot in An Unlikely Proposal.
1. Bluebonnets!
The flower has been the state flower since 1901 and you can see a few pictures in my Pinterest board that reflects the beautiful flower.
2. Big Red Soda
I love this drink and I’m sad I can’t find it in Virginia. However, Amazon sales it. 🙂
3. Texas Toast Pizza
Besides eating this deliciousness with pasta, you can turn it into pizza. Check out this recipe for more info!
4. Barbacoa tacos
This is a staple in Texas and now I’m home sick.
5. Friendliness
Now, I’m not saying that Texas has a market on friendliness, but the people there can be friendlier than other places.
I actually could go on and on about the great state of Texas, but I’ll spare you and give you what you came here for: clues!
Here’s the Stop #25 Basics:
If you’re interested, you can order An Unlikely Proposal on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, CBD or at your local bookstore!

I had to laugh when you mentioned the Texas Toast pizza. I have a granddaughter who is a very picky eater. When we have spaghetti, she eats a Texas Toast pizza made with Texas Toast garlic bread, pizza sauce and cheese. I must admit, they are GOOD!

I’ve never seen bluebonnets in person. Sad, right? Especially with my love of gardening! And in MN we have what’s called Minnesota nice. Probably like your TX friendliness. I haven’t found a lot of that in MD. I entered your giveaway as a subscriber. I suppose I let you know here that I like your author page and follow you on IG as @books.n.blossoms. 🙂

Hi,I am from Texas,I was born in Texas, raised in New Mexico and been back to Texas for the past 44 yrs. Your book sounds like a Very good read, I love, love the book cover it is beautiful! I had a couple of bluebonnet plants I planted last year and bluebonnets bloomed very pretty, unfortunately, I don’t think they are coming back, right before our second cold, cold snow we had the plant was starting to come out, I just hope that maybe it will come back. Have a Great weekend and stay safe.

You could have expounded more on Texas. I would have loved it! I am 3rd generation born (and 4th living in) Texan. Alas! I had to go and marry a several generation deep Kansan. So, I’ve lived in Kansas for more than 2 decades. I really miss home sometimes, even though I really love the hills of Kansas too. I’m going back to Texas next week for the first visit in well over a year.
I can’t wait to read your book!
