Author Interview with Jerry Todt

I hope you had a great bookish weekend. I’m kicking off the week with an interview with Jerry Todt to talk about his story, A Maple Valley Wedding. Grab a cup of tea (or coffee) and chat with us.

Toni: Welcome, Jerry! Thank you for stopping by the blog today. The readers want to get to know you a little better so we’ll start with an easy question. 🙂 When did you first know you wanted to be a writer?

Jerry: I was very young. My mother would take me and my siblings to the local college library during the summer as a break from working on the family farm. I would marvel at the rows and rows of books. I loved the smell of the books and how they transported me all over the world. I knew then I wanted to be a writer.

Toni: Libraries are the best! Tell us a little about your story?

Jerry: A Maple Valley Wedding takes us back to Maple Valley and continues the love story between Erica Holden and Zach Worthington. When someone from her past walks into the realty office she owns it threatens to destroy her happy ever after. Erica must find true forgiveness to allow her to love Zach fully and completely.

Toni: Sounds like a great read. Do you like coffee or tea? Chocolate or candy? Beaches or mountains?

Definitely a coffee person. I couldn’t imagine a day without it. Chocolate lover as well. I don’t eat many sweets but when I do, you can bet it’s gonna be chocolate. The beach is my happy place. There is something about standing at the ocean’s edge and being in awe of all God has created.

Toni: I so agree about the beach! What’s next in your writing?

Jerry: Currently finishing up a novel based on a true story about a Pastor’s family and their own struggle with keeping the faith as they raise a child with a disability.
