Happy Tuesday, Reader Friends!
I hope you’re having a good week and reading great reads. Today I’m sharing my thoughts on Allie Pleiter’s latest book, Winning Her Heart Back. It’s book number 2 in the Wander Canyon series and can be read as a standalone.
Let’s get started!
About the Book
Pretending to be in love…or building a new future?
Nothing wrong with helping out an old friend…
But she’s so much more to him.
When his ex-girlfriend returns home and hires him to overhaul her family’s general store, contractor Bo Carter’s determined to keep an emotional distance. But to convince her old boss she’s home for good, Toni Redding needs another favor—a pretend romance. As Bo starts to fall for her all over again, might their fake love lead to a real second chance?
My Thoughts

I was so excited to find out Ms. Pleiter had another book in Wander Canyon series since I throughly enjoyed book one. (See my review for book one here.) To top it off, this book has a fake relationship trope, which I LOVE!
Bo Carter makes a great hero and I was rooting for him the whole time. And Toni has a lot of internal issues that tugged on my heartstrings and had me wishing and hoping these two would have a happily ever after.
There’s also a renovation aspect in here and this HGTV loving viewer was in heaven as I imagined the changes that Bo did for Toni. OH!!! And of course, I loved the heroine’s name.
This book was a great escape from the every day doldrums that covid has put me in. Be sure to add it to your TBR pile!
*I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. My review was not required nor influenced.

The fake romance trope is always interesting because the reader knows there will eventually be a “happily ever after.” The path to getting there is always interesting.
