Happy Tuesday, Friends!
Today Bonnie Engstrom is taking over the blog. Grab a cup of tea (or coffee) and chat with her!
Do mirrors talk back?
What happened when Santa came to church?
What would you do if you had the opportunity to be Mrs. Santa Claus?
Patti was excited about it ~ something she’d always wanted to do. But, when Colin, the owner of Santa Extravaganza, asked for her help with Braydon, his troublesome grandson, their relationship (was there really one?) became complicated.
Talking to her reflection in the vanity mirror helps. But so far, the mirror hasn’t responded. And Colin, who plays Santa, always responds with “Whatever.”
Is there a future for them, two “oldsters” who are seeking love again?
What happens when granddaughter Tabitha shares her wisdom?
“Grammy. Wrong Santa.”
Who is Her Secret Santa?
Just for fun: This is a picture of my lifelong friend, Sandy, who inspired this story by playing Mrs. Santa.
More fun: My own granddaughter, Teagan, was the model for Patti’s granddaughter, Tabitha. But Teagan always calls me “Grammy.” No “Gram” or “Grams” for her!
About the Book
Patti never expected to portray a legendary character, nor fall in love.
She just wanted a part-time job over the holidays. But between the Simon Cowell look-a-like guy who played Santa, and her eleven-year-old granddaughter Tabitha, and maybe God, she pulled on the green vinyl boots, powdered her eyebrows and “sucked it up,” as Tabby would say, until . . .the Santa who came to give out gifts at church was different.
And she kissed him.
Did she kiss the wrong Santa?

I have read quite a few of Bonnie’s books and enjoyed them all! Not sure how to answer the question! I guess if I had the chance to be Mrs. Santa I would do my best to be cheerful, joyful and show children that kindness and love should be a way of life. After all, life’s not all about presents!! I really like the look of the book Bonnie!
