Review: Wooing Cadie McCaffery

Happy Tuesday!

I am absolutely ecstatic to share my review of Bethany Turner’s Wooing Cadie McCaffery. Y’all, I might have squealed when I got this ARC copy. So let’s get started!

About the Book

After four years with her boyfriend, Cadie McCaffrey is thinking of ending things. Convinced Will doesn’t love her in the “forever” way she loves him, Cadie believes it’s time for her to let him go before life passes her by. When a misunderstanding leads to a mistake, leaving her hurt, disappointed, and full of regret, she finally sends him packing.

But for Will, the end of their relationship is only the beginning of his quest to figure out how to be the man Cadie wanted him to be. With the dubious guidance of his former pro-athlete work friends and tactics drawn from Cadie’s favorite romantic comedies, Will attempts to win her back. It’s a foolproof plan. What could possibly go wrong?

Bethany Turner is back with more of the heart and humor readers love. Anyone who enjoys a good romance or binges romantic comedies on Netflix will devour this delightful story.

My Thoughts

Bethany Turner has done it again!

pin me

Y’all I can’t even begin to express the excitement I had when I got that beautiful NetGalley email telling me I could download a copy of Wooing Cadie McCaffery. I had this sweet anticipation that was half full of nerves wondering if it could possibly meet my expectations that The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck set. The other half had that giddy wondering of a new book by one of my favorite authors.

Then I cracked it open and started reading. Y’all….

She knocked it out the ball park. Seriously, I devoured the book. I was hooked from the meet-cute prologue all the way to the epilogue. And praise Jesus for an epilogue. Seriously.

Y’all, Ms. Turner had my emotions on a roller coaster. I couldn’t read fast enough and not slow enough either. You know how you want to know everything at once but also want to savor every single word? Well that’s how I felt reading #WooCaM.

I highlighted my favorite passages. I messaged my reader friend who already read the book. I had to! Some chapters stopped my heart, others had me holding back tears, and others had me fussing at the characters as if they could actually hear me.

This book also touches on a subject that is absolutely needed in the Christian world. I loved the way Ms. Turner handled it and some of my favorite quotes came from it.

I’m dubbing Ms. Turner the queen of CF romcom and I cannot wait until her next release. Until then, I’ll go ahead and reread #WooCaM and smile through all my favorite parts and savor the truth of the beautiful message. Love is worth it!

* I received a complimentary copy via NetGalley. My review was not required nor influenced.

*I’ll rate this a 5 but it totally deserves to be a 6 for rereading purposes.
