Review of Sweet on You

Happy Monday, friends!

I am soooo excited to share my book review of Sweet on You by Becky Wade. It’s book three of the Bradford sisters and one I’ve been waiting for since reading book one, True to You.

Let’s get started!

About the Book

Britt and Zander have been best friends since they met thirteen years ago, but unbeknownst to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long. When Zander’s uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Washington to investigate. As they work together to uncover his uncles tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also come to light?

My Thoughts

All. The. Feels!

I’ve been a fan of Becky Wade since I read My Stubborn Heart and with each book, she’s cemented herself as one of my favorite authors. I’ve been stalking the mailbox waiting for Sweet on You to arrive and when it did…pure joy!

Y’all, this book here! I can’t even begin…okay, I can.

First, the writing. Ms. Wade’s writing voice is pure gold. She makes descriptions interesting and the desire to skip over that goes away as she sets the scene and puts me in Washington state and Britt’s chocolate shop.

Then there’s the people. Oh the people! Zander is hands down one of my favorite heroes ever. Hands down! And I’ve been holding a torch for Matt Jareau for eons. Zanders steadfastness, brooding, and introverted self completely won me over. He had me swooning over his journal entries, non-sent texts (hope that’s not a spoiler), and love declaration. He’s the best!

And Britt! I knew I would like the youngest Bradford sister. Although I have absolutely nothing in common with her (except I would totally be her taste tester if she were real), I could completely empathize and sympathize with her. I loved how she discovered Zander’s feelings. So good!

And I got to see the other Bradford sisters and their guys which totally made me happy and ecstatic for the crew. This book will go up in my favorite Becky Wade books list. Which consists of My Stubborn Heart, Her One and Only, and now Sweet on You (sorry, Falling for You, Zander knocked this out the park!).

I’m sad that the series is over, but completely satisfied with the ending. Now to go reread my favorite parts.

*I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. This review was not required not influenced.

  1. Yes! I am already rereading some of my favorite parts. I can’t bear to put it in the book case yet – even though I’ve finished it!
