Review for Jane by the Book
Pepper Basham is one of my favorite authors. Seriously, I will read anything she writes, no matter the genre. And there’s something about her contemporary stories that leaves me sighing and laughing in delight. Jane by the Book was no exception, y’all.
Jane and Titus make a fantastic couple. Not to mention Titus is a writer and does swoon worthy hero moves in writerly goodness. This collection would be worth the 99¢ alone for this one novella. Fortunately, all the novellas are great.
My favorite quote: “Help me to trust you even with my fears…even with my heart…”
Review for If She Dares
I adored If She Dares. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments as Lia works her way around the mess that is Garrison’s home. Mikal Dawn has a great way and making me snort laugh at the characters’ antics. I also adored that we get to revisit and from Count Me In. It’s always a pleasure revisiting old friends from previous books.
My favorite quote: “She sounded like a dying cow, if the audience’s faces were a giveaway.”
Review for Definitely
Oh this novella was absolutely adoring and I was so sad to see it end. Seriously, this book needs a continuation or something so that I don’t have to let the characters go. What could have more laughing moments then a woman who doesn’t want to date a pastor and may not even know he asked her out? Heather Gray out did herself in this one.
My favorite quote: “Well…I thought I was asking you here to get to know you better. Um. Hm. I thought…I thought I was asking you here for a lunch date.”
*I received an ARC from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.
