Review: Oath of Honor

Happy Saturday, Reader Friends!

Today I’m sharing my review of Oath of Honor, Lynette Eason’s latest release!

About the Book

The Blurb: “Police officer Isabelle St. John loves her crazy, loud, law-enforcement family. With three brothers and two sisters, she’s never without someone to hang out with–or fight with. And she knows they’ll be there for her when things get tough. Like when her partner is murdered and she barely escapes with her own life.

Determined to discover exactly what happened, Izzy’s investigation sends her headfirst into a criminal organization, possibly with cops on the payroll–including someone from her own family. With her dead partner’s handsome homicide detective brother Ryan shadowing her every move, Izzy’s head is spinning. How can she secure justice for her partner when doing so could mean sending someone she loves to prison? And how will she guard her heart when the man she’s had a secret crush on for years won’t leave her side?”

Review

Oath of Honor reminds me why Lynette Eason is one of my go-to authors. Her stories are always filled with Family. Friends. Romance. And of course, suspense. I can already tell that the St. John family will become one of my favorite fictional families. And I loved that Ms. Eason didn’t start with the oldest child.

Izzy is a cop’s cop. One who holds the oath to heart. I loved watching her try and untangle the mess that her partner got her into. I also loved the sparks between her and Ryan, her partner’s older brother.

I managed to guess who dunnit a page before it was revealed. It would have been cooler if I guessed a few chapters ahead. 😉 Ms. Eason always keeps me guessing and turning the page until I’ve reached the end. I look forward to book 2!

*Thanks to my local library for feeding my reading addiction.
