My TBR Pile – Week of 3/27/17

Happy Monday, Reader Friends!!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! It’s been awhile since I shared the books in my TBR pile. I’ve been busy reviewing and interviewing. 🙂 But now, I have time to share a few books I’m hoping to read this week. Please leave a comment and share your reads before you go!

Blessings to you!

Tessa Afshar’s Land of Silence

Picture

I’ve never read Ms. Afshar and someone suggested I did. So to the library I went.

The Blurb: “Before Christ called her daughter . . .

Before she stole healing by touching the hem of his garment . . .

Elianna is a young girl crushed by guilt. After her only brother is killed while in her care, Elianna tries to earn forgiveness by working for her father’s textile trade and caring for her family. When another tragedy places Elianna in sole charge of the business, her talent for design brings enormous success, but never the absolution she longs for. As her world unravels, she breaks off her betrothal to the only man she will ever love. Then illness strikes, isolating Elianna from everyone, stripping everything she has left.

No physician can cure her. No end is in sight. Until she hears whispers of a man whose mere touch can heal. After so many years of suffering and disappointment, is it possible that one man could redeem the wounds of body . . . and soul?”

Sara Ella’s Unblemished

Picture

I’ve wanted to read this book ever since I saw this book. I’m such a cover hound and it’s utterly breathtaking. So into my wishlist it went and now I own it and I’m diving in folks!

The Blurb: “Eliyana has always recoiled from her own reflection in the mirror. But what if that were only one Reflection—one world? What if another world existed where her blemish could become her strength?

Eliyana is used to the shadows. With a hideous birthmark covering half her face, she just hopes to graduate high school unscathed. That is, until Joshua hops a fence and changes her perspective. No one, aside from her mother, has ever treated her as normal. Maybe even beautiful. Because of Joshua, Eliyana finally begins to believe she could be loved.

But one night her mother doesn’t come home, and that’s when everything gets weird.

Now Joshua is her new, and rather reluctant, legal Guardian. Add a hooded stalker and a Central Park battle to the mix and you’ve gone from weird to otherworldly.

Eliyana soon finds herself in a world much larger and more complicated than she’s ever known. A world enslaved by a powerful and vile man. And Eliyana holds the answer to defeating him. How can an ordinary girl, a blemished girl, become a savior when she can’t even save herself?”

Love at First Laugh

Picture

Okay, so technically I could just list this one book since it’s actually a boxset with 8 novellas, but I’ve been reading a novella here and there between other novels.

The Blurb: “Dive into eight brand new contemporary Christian romantic comedies from some of your favorite inspirational authors.

From light-hearted romance to laugh-out-loud love, this set will put a smile on your face and keep you reading long into the night.
