I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I’m kicking this week off with a review of Lynette Eason’s Moving Target.
Let’s get started!
About the Book
Maddy awakens in a cement room with no idea where she is. But it’s not long before she realizes she’s in the clutches of a madman exacting revenge by hunting. His prey of choice? Humans. Now Maddy and Quinn must run for their lives, hoping to find their killer before the next game begins. Because if they don’t win this game, they die.”
Review
Ms. Eason uped the ante with Maddy and Quinn’s story, the third book in the Elite Guardians series. I mean seriously! I cannot express enough how awesome this book was. The whodunnit threw me completely! Every time I was sure I knew who the killer was, a twist would arrive. I LOVE THAT!!
And the romance! *Sigh* Maddy is my hero. That girl knows her heart and knows her man. You would think it would make for a dull combination, but not so. I couldn’t help but smile during the romantic scenes between the two.
And Quinn. The moment he decided to not be a jerk, I was on his side. And “one” will now have a special meaning for me, haha! If you’ve already read the book, you know what I mean. Quinn is fiercely protective of Maddy and I loved it. He would defend her against anyone, and I do mean ANYONE!
Y’all this book has everything. Romance, Suspense, Breath-taking action! So far, each book in this series has left me with the feeling of “that’s my favorite.” I have to say the same thing for this one. Moving Target is my favorite so far and I can’t wait to see what comes next in Chasing Secrets, Haley’s story.
*I give this a 5 out of 5! (And possibly a 6 because I definitely plan on rereading this.)
**I received a free copy from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.
