I hope you had an awesome week! Today, I’m sharing a review of Jennifer Slattery’s Restoring Love!
Let’s get started!
About the Book
Add to shelf: Goodreads
It’s about restoring our love for our neighbors. To go beyond the superficial greetings and pleasantries and see them where they are at in life’s journey. To restore the love that others have destroyed and give them hope.
And of course, it’s about romance. The spark that ignites when two people catch one another’s eye. That slow (or fast) dip into love and the assured belief you’re accepted despite your flaws and past sins.
Jennifer Slattery wraps all these things in Restoring Love. She uses the romance between Mitch and Angela as a backdrop to the power of Christ’s love toward the church. It’s a wonderful book that speaks of our Savior’s love.
Restoring Love will have you examining yourself to see if you’re truly exhibiting the love that God calls us to perform. Are we loving our neighbor as our self? Or are we judgmental and seeking ways to condemn them for their behavior, while ignoring our own?
I could probably go on, but then this would turn into a dissertation instead of a book review. 🙂 I hope you take the time to read this wonderful book. If you have, what did you think?
*I give this 4 out of 5 stars.
**I received a free copy from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.
