About the Book
“Mae Stafford longs for the companionship and unconditional love her sister has found in her new husband. But after years of refusing potential suitors because of a pact they made as children, Mae no longer has any choices left once their agreement is broken. She’s given up hope that God will give her what she desires most, a family of her own. Instead of dwelling on what she doesn’t have, she throws herself into her work as the recent sole owner of the local dress shop.
As a promise made to his late wife, Johannes Mueller agrees to travel west to be a school teacher in Calder Springs, Texas, away from the bigotry associated with being an immigrant in New York City. He hopes to improve his life and forget his loss. Johannes isn’t counting on his five-year-old daughter’s search for a new mother when they arrive. His little LillyAnn finds ways to bring the seamstress and him together…often. Can he learn to embrace his German heritage and unlock his heart to love again?”

Interview
Thank you so much for having me here today. I really appreciate it.
Earlier this year I put out a novella, Hearts Tightly Knit about twin sisters who made a pact to never marry. That story was about Ellie Stafford and what it would take to convince her to change her mind and consider marriage. When Ellie found her happily-ever-after, I knew her twin, Mae Stafford, needed one too. This is how Love in the Seams came about. 🙂
Twin sisters?! How neat!
2. As a native Texan, I love that this novel is set in Calder Springs, Texas. Can you tell us about the research you had to do for the setting?
LOL. You might be a little disappointed because Calder Springs, Texas is a fictional town. I loosely based it on a town in Texas where my husband has family living. It’s set in the hill country.
That’s okay. The fact that it’s in Texas is enough for me. 🙂
3. Since this is book 2 in the Twins & Needles series, will there be a book 3?
I haven’t decided fully yet. I did thread a potential follow-up story through Love in the Seams. We’ll see whether readers request ranch hand, Slim, to have a tale of his own.
Ohhh, I think I’ll vote yes. A ranch hand named Slim is begging to have his tale told.
4. Who was your favorite character to write in Love in the Seams?
I think the one I had the most fun writing is little LillyAnn. She reminded me of when my sons were first starting school.
Aren’t little kids the best?!
5. As a Christian writer, how does your faith find its way into your stories?
My faith is an integral part of me and my life. If influences each area, so it’s natural for it to spill over onto the written page.
Amen!
6. When you sit down to write, do you listen to music or do you need total silence?
It all depends on the type of scene I’m writing. Most times I have music playing in the background. It usually is either my local Christian radio station or Christmas music. Every once in a while my favorite song comes on the radio and I take time to sing along with it before getting back to work. 🙂
Hmmm, Christmas music? Even if it’s say, February?
Thank you for having me here today, Toni. I look forward to getting to know your readers better.
It’s been my pleasure! I’m sure you’ll find many reader friends here.

I even listen to Christmas music in February. 🙂 After all, music about my Heavenly Father is always good to listen to.
