My TBR Pile – Week of 11/7/16

Happy Monday, Reader Friends!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out My TBR Pile. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get to all of these reads. I’m currently writing for NaNoWriMo (National November Writing Month) and the goal is to write 50,000 words by the end of the month. We shall see!

What are you reading this week?

Jen Turano’s Finding Margo

This book is my book club’s November pick. It’s Ms. Turano’s first contemporary book.

The Blurb: “Off the charts and on the run.

International pop star Margo Hartman could use a night off. A grueling tour and overbearing entourage have sent her over the edge. It’s time for this diva to disappear. And who would think to look for the superstar in a small Dutch town in Ohio?

Sheriff’s deputy Brock Moore is undercover as well. He knows Margo isn’t who she appears to be, but her uncanny resemblance to a local Amish woman is raising all sorts of questions…the kind that make her a target for a killer.

Both are determined to find answers, but their mutual attraction stands in the way of either of them doing it alone. Is finding Margo the solution to Brock’s problems or just the beginning…?”

Staci Stallings’ The Easy Way Out

I’m a fan of Ms. Stallings so I grabbed this one to read.

The Blurb: “Landscape designer, Drew Easton thought he had met the perfect girl in Harmony Jordan, but then Harmony married Drew’s best friend and business partner, Aaron Foster. Trying to pick up the pieces of the failed relationship and go on with life, Drew is not prepared for the twists the road to true love is about to take. Will his heart still be in one piece at the end of this ride?

Charity Jordan has one feeling about her older sister. Hate. Never able to measure up, always second-choice, Charity’s life has been driven by one bad mistake after another. When Harmony’s ex begins showing up to landscape her parent’s yard, Charity has no intentions of being his second choice either. But when feelings start to change, will she be able to keep herself from once again taking The Easy Way Out…

T. L. Gray’s Splintered Oak

The cover grabbed my attention so I got it.

The Blurb: “A Broken Man…

Jake Matthews understands loss. In just one year, he lost his mother, his first love, his career and now his cousin and best friend. Desperate to find some sense of peace, Jake falls into an agreement that could destroy what’s left of his floundering life.

A Transformed Woman…

Naomi Bennett spent the last year finding herself. Running away to Portugal was more than just a trip to find culture, but also an escape from the first man she ever gave her heart to. Now home, the last thing Naomi wants is to catch the eye of notorious playboy, Jake Matthews. But Naomi soon discovers that Jake is not the same person she once knew.

Drawn to his pain, Naomi gets swept up in a whirlwind of circumstances that will shake the very fabric of of her precisely planned future and cause her to question every idea she ever had on love.

When two paths collide, demons resurface and grace abounds, leaving everyone’s lives forever changed.”
