About the Author

Diane Munson has been an attorney for more than twenty-five years. She served the U.S. Department of Justice as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington D.C., where as a Federal Prosecutor she brought indictments, tried criminal cases and argued appeals. Earlier, she was appointed by Attorney General Edwin Meese III to be his Deputy Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. She worked with the Justice Department, Congress and the White House on major policy and legal issues. Later she was a solo general practice specializing in mediation and representing children and parents in neglect and abuse cases.

David Munson’s thirty-one year career included service as a Special Agent with the Naval Investigative Service (now called NCIS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration. During his career he conducted many investigations often as an undercover agent where he infiltrated international drug smuggling organizations. One such case resulted in the arrest of George Jung, whose memoir “Blow” became the movie of the same title staring Johnny Depp. David’s undercover infiltration resulted in the arrest of four associates of Panamanian President Manuel Noriega, who then agreed to testify against the dictator. David spent two years as a Congressional Fellow, assigned as an investigator to the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.

Co-authors of ten suspense thrillers, including The Looming Storm, their most recent one. The Munsons appear at bookstores and speak to civic and church groups around America. Each week Diane and David write a blog which appears on their website, critiquing the NCIS show based on David’s experience as one of their agents.
