My TBR Pile – Week of 9/21/15

It’s a new week and once again, I’m staring at my rising TBR pile. It seems like the more I work on my own novel, the higher the pile gets. But I refuse to stop purchasing books, lol. So let me share what’s in my pile this week.

1. Jan Thompson’s “Know You More”
I won this book in a giveaway! Nothing more exciting than free books. 🙂

In case you’re curious, here’s a portion from the blurb: “Diego Flores has been in love with his best friend’s younger sister since their college days, but his calling to start Riverside Chapel in Savannah takes up most of his time. When Heidi Wei becomes his strongest supporter in his church planting ministry, how does Diego show his interest in her without her getting the wrong idea? Does she see him as potential husband material or just the pastor of their church?”

This is the first in a seven book series. To find out more about Ms. Thompson, head on over to her website.

2. Dawn Crandall’s “The Bound Heart”
Okay, you know I’m geeking out over here, right?! I’ve been itching to get my hands on book two of The Everstone Chronicles ever since I read, “The Hesitant Heiress.” You can trust a review will be coming once I finish this.

Here’s a portion from the blurb: “One accidental kiss from Lawry Hampton. That was all it took to throw Meredyth Summercourt’s world upside-down. Determined to marry the ever-elusive Vance Everstone, she simply doesn’t have the time or the desire to fall for her best friend. But with Vance out of the country, and with Lawry at her side nearly every day, teaching her what the world is like through the eyes of a little orphan girl named Wynn–Meredyth can’t deny that what’s holding her to Vance is nothing more than a desire to redeem herself from her past.”

3. Patricia Davids’ “Katie’s Redemption”
Once again, I got this for free, but that’s because it was free on Kindle. Pssst: it might still be free so check it out here.

And because I think the first sentence of the blurb is so awesome, I’m only including it: “After two years away, Katie Lantz returns to her Amish community nine months pregnant—and unmarried.”

4. Catherine West’s “Bridge of Faith”
I finally purchased Ms. West’s latest novel. I’ve seen it on my Facebook feed enough to catch my interest. I love the cover, so I got it. 🙂

Here’s a portion from the blurb: “Julia Connelly is finally free from twelve long years in an abusive relationship. Now able to live the life she’s longed for, Julia takes her two children back home to Vermont, hoping for peace and healing. The last person she expects to see is the man she eloped with at eighteen—who then abandoned her two months into their marriage, with little explanation.”

You can find Ms. West at her website here.

Thanks for checking out my TBR pile. What’s in yours?
