TBT – Today in History 8/27

Today is the birthday of Robert Lee Vann. He was an African American publisher, lawyer, and editor. Quite an eclectic resume. In case you’d love to learn more, check out this post.

Also, today in history marks the opening of Audrey Hepburn’s first starring role, Roman Holiday. I thought this was an interesting tidbit because I love classic movies. My favorite movie of Ms. Hepburn’s is Sabrina. Of course, I love the remake with Harrison Ford as well. Here’s a great post.

And last but certainly not least, today marks the day women received the right to vote. I’m curious how many women vote today or do we just take it for granted?

So, do you know any interesting TBT tidbits? If so, please post in comments. Have a great Thursday!!
