Review: “A Reluctant Assassin” by J.C. Morrows

So what’s better than reading a book? Reading a book you won!! I was fortunate to win an Advance Reader Copy of J.C. Morrow’s “A Reluctant Assassin.” Can I just say now it was an amazing read.

I was literally shocked when it ended because I was so engrossed in the story. Since it was an ARC I wanted to give you the link to pre-order it (which of course you need to do). It’s available for pre-order on Kindle for $6.99.

Okay, on to the review. What do you get when a trained assassin with no family ties meets the most handsome man she’s ever met, who also happens to be a Prince? No clue? You get A Reluctant Assassin (see what I did there?).

Ms. Morrows did an excellent job in creating a different world. SN: this book falls into the YA Inspiration Speculative Category. So of course, their world is different. Kayden has seen her country torn apart by wars. It’s become a place where believing in God is not a popular choice, but one the Prince refuses to hide.

Ms. Morrows creates intrigue, suspense, and romance all within the pages of the novel. I cannot wait until the next one comes out (because it’s part of a series, hooray!). This book is an excellent read. To find out more about J.C. Morrows, head on over to her website.

*I won a free copy of this book and was not required to do a review but I loved it so much, how could I not? :)
