Review: Manila Marriage App by Jan Elder

Picture

So I went to the Writing to Inspire Christian Writer’s Workshop on August 15th in Frederick, Maryland. It was hosted by the lovely Rita Gerlach. And one of my favorite parts of the conference was the opportunity to see what other writers have been writing.

Hence, my luck at reading Jan Elder’s “Manila Marriage App.” The story is about feisty Shay Callahan and Timothy Flynn. You see Timothy posted a marriage application to which Shay responded in jest. When she gets the opportunity to fly to Manila, expenses paid, she jumps at it.
Shay believes she’ll teach Timothy Flynn a lesson. She never guessed that she’d be the one to learn.

This was such a funny and relaxing read. If you didn’t know Pelican Book Group started the Passport to Romance series. So there are others in the series. If you’re an aspiring writer, they have open submissions. To find out more check it out here.

(I would give this book 4 stars :)).
