Throwback Thursday

A year ago on this day in history, famed Maya Angelou passed away. I will always remember her for showcasing the beauty and power of words. The first book I ever read of Maya Angelou’s was “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.”  It stood out and helped fuel my desire to read.
It was the first book she wrote, but she didn’t stop there. She wrote books, poems, children’s books, screenplays and also recorded an album.
Her words knew no bounds and today I remember her and the inspiration that her life represents.
If you would like to find more about her, check out the website:
Have you ever read one of her books? If so, which one was your favorite?
